My name is Cole Heine and I'm a Brown University graduate working in clinical research before applying to medical school. I grew up in Los Angeles and am now based in the US Northeast.
I started taking pictures as a means of capturing the beautiful moments I'd experienced in the ocean. Over time, I fell as much in love with the excuse for attending to the subtleties of my environment as I did the actual craft. Choosing how to frame, expose, process, and ultimately display your personal perspective on where you are– being intentional with the camera as a tool– is a nearly meditative practice. As I continue to grow as an adult, the opportunity to explore places new and old with camera in hand is a joy. This website contains many of my favorite captures from 2015 through now.
